Hillbank Roush Mustang
Roush Performance has one of the most extensive product lineups of performance products for the new Mustang. They also offer several complete cars, ranging from a basic Stage 1 car with just a Roush body kit all the way to a fully loaded Stage 3 Mustang with a supercharger, suspension upgrades, and a custom interior. While one of these Mustangs can be purchased directly off the showroom floor, many people want to build their own so that they can place their personal touch on the car. Hillbank Motorsports, Roush's leading retailer, did just that and built a custom Roush Mustang that is unlike any other. Starting with a base Mustang GT, The Hillbank team stripped the car and began work on installing the Roush parts. First to go in was the polished Roush supercharger system that helps this Mustang pump out 427 horsepower. The engine bay is brightened up with billet trim and a paint-matched Roush strut tower brace - one of the only ones we’ve ever seen to fit over a supercharger.
The interior has a mature and clean look, with a monochrome design of black, gray, and aluminum accents. More billet trim can be found on the radio knobs, pedal covers, shifter bezel, and shift knob. Custom leather and alacantre seats with stitched Hillbank logos fit nicely with the rest of the car, and are extremely comfortable as well. Finally, a Kenwood stereo system adds functionality to the clean design.
Next up was the suspension and chassis, and Hillbank installed Roush's suspension system including new front and rear sway bars, front struts, and rear shocks and springs. The front brakes have been upgraded to Roush-spec with 14-inch slotted discs and 4-piston calipers, and the rear brakes received 14-inch discs as well. Finally, a set of sticky BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires were fitted over custom rims.
Last but not least, the Roush body kit was installed including the front fascia, hood scoop, side skirts, rear wing, rear fascia, and quarter window panels. Custom black striping was added including the 427 HB-R lettering. The final result is a Mustang that is distinctly Roush, but with custom touches that make it stand out.
